Neil Johnson is an award winning film and music video director of 25 years. In his career he has made 10 feature films, 500 plus music videos and hundreds of documentaries. He made one of the first digital feature films in the late 90’s. Though British-born, and now living in the US, he was the youngest full-time paid director at the age of 21 in Australia.

In his career, Neil has directed actors like Christopher Lee (Lord of the Rings), Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks), Claudia Wells (Back to the Future), James Kyson (Heroes) Virginia Hey (Road Warrior), Torri Higginson (Stargate Atlantis), Adrienne Wilkinson (Xena), Ellen Dubin (The Lexx), Christopher Judge (Stargate) Ryan O’Neill (love Story), Cas Anvar (Source Code), Walter Koenig (Star Trek), Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth) and many others.

He has directed music videos for bands like: Manowar, U2, Rhapsody of Fire, Emii, Rammstein, for budgets often between $100,000-$300,000

In 2005 he directed the largest HD music video coverage ever done in Europe at the time boasting 32 cameras and costing in excess of 560,000 Euros.

Since the age of two Neil has been obsessed with science and space travel. His latest film series, Starship, reflects this sensibility, while maintaining a strong sense of character and adventure.

Neil’s films are currently available to buy on Blu Ray in USA, Germany, France, UK, Russia, China, Thailand, Australia, Switzerland, India, Bulgaria and the Middle East.

Neil currently has 2 films in post production, and 4 films in early pre-production, all Science Fiction films. In addition he is directing 2 television pilots for 2015.
