Nancy Cheryll Davis: Artistic Director/Executive Producer: Alumna of the prestigious American Conservatory Theatre of San Francisco & Lincoln Center Directors Lab West, Nancy is a critically acclaimed director & producer. Sample credits-Jackleg, Sister Cities, Langston & Nicolas (conception & direction) Nevis Mountain Dew, Joleta, Millennium in Black (conception & direction). Winner: NAACP Best Actress award for Passing, based on Nella Larsen’s 1920’s novella, (conception & producer). PassingSOLO, her one woman show, has been published by Northwestern University Press in the solo/black/woman anthology. Best Actress Nominee: Flyin West /St. Louis Black Repertory, NAACP Best Ensemble Nominee for The Bow Wow Club/Stella Adler Theatre. Nancy Renee: a native of Washington, DC, holds a BFA in Performing Arts from American University. TST Co-Founder and Co-Producing Director; she has been a theatre professional for over 30 years, receiving NAACP Theatre Award Nominations for acting, choreography and costume design (Winner: NAACP Best Costumes for TST’s Langston & Nicolas). Local and regional stage credits include: (Acting) Sister Cities, Daddy’s Dyin, Who’s Got The Will, Nevis Mountain Dew, Joleta, Psychology of Chromosome X (NAACP Best Actress Nomination), and Twilight Jones (10-Min.7). (Directing) Jackleg, Marked, the Musical, Passing (NAACP Choreography Nomination), The Obit (10-Min.7), Zombie Tale (10-Min.6), and PassingSolo. (Costumes) 1969, Beyond Therapy ,and the aforementioned Langston & Nicolas. Television and film credits include The Closer, Las Vegas, Zoey 101, Set It Off and the classic Fast Times At Ridgemont High. In addition, Nancy was Director for the Towne Street Musical Theatre Camp for Kids and directed the TST youth productions including Bubbling Brown Sugar, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and The Wiz.
Nathaniel Bellamy: Production Designer/Producer. Nathaniel has designed set, lighting and sound for nearly all TST productions, including: Jackleg, Sister Cities TST IDOL, Langston & Nicolas, The TST Ten Minute Play Festivals, Nevis Mountain Dew, Passing, An American Tract, Very Strange Fruit, Cool Negroes, The Meeting, Summers in Suffolk, Joleta, Haints, Conjuremen & Leaving, Millennium in Black & Five on the Blackhand Side. 2004 NAACP nominee for Best Lighting for TST’s Passing. An acclaimed photographer, his photo exhibits over the last 30 years span the globe from Beverly Hills to Lagos, Nigeria. He is published In the Life in a Day of Black L.A … THE WAY WE SEE IT.
