Party Charlie’s Party Planning Secret No. 12 – Choosing the Best Date

When choosing the date for your party, don’t look at the date. Instead look to see if there are any championship games or events. If you plan a party on a day with a big event, your party will most likely tank.

Make sure there are no holidays, birthdays, town events. Take your time to look ahead to make sure you don’t plan your party on a day when there are no major events going on.

Make sure when planning the date, you look at who has been invited to the party. If its an 80th birthday, a late night party is not ideal. For younger people, Friday nights and Saturday nights are the best for late night parties.

Parties for children work best on Sundays.

Make sure that once you set the date, look around to make sure there aren’t any conflicts.

Showing up fashionably late is no longer fashionable because people are spending a lot of money for their party and it’s unfair to show up a couple hours late.
