Today, Eric teaches us the core of networking: Give … give … give.
Messages are sent both with action and inaction. Here’s an experiment. Instead of networking to find out what someone can do for you, don’t think about yourself. Give, give, give.
There is a school of thought that if all you think about is what’s in it for you, then you are not networking. The result of giving, on the other hand, is to create such a degree of goodwill that potential associates will line up to do business with you. It’s a win-win all around.
