Championship Network Tips – Send Thank You Notes, Don’t Keep Score, and Know Your Food Chain
Send Thank You Notes, Don’t Keep Score, and Know Your Food Chain
At the very least, send a note of thanks to the organizer and anyone else as you deem appropriate. To others you may choose to meet again, send an e-mail acknowledgement. Chances are, many people will have attended your event. Stand out from the crowd by being a mensch.
The way you do anything, is the way you do everything. This is an often overlooked bit of valuable advice: Don’t ever keep score. Champion networkers know when they owe someone. Maintain the trust.
Get to know everyone in your food chain. In other words, the first lieutenant knows the first lieutenant, who knows the chief, and so on. Know your food chain, and you’ll never starve.
