Composer Kevin Manthei was nominated for his music in “Batman:Gotham Knight,” a Warner Brothers feature animation. Kevin composes music for features, TV, & games. He has scored more than 50 games for every major publisher including many DreamWorks titles, including the “Kung Fu Panda,” game. Kevin was supported on the red carpet by his agent, Mike Rosen of Montana Artists.

Ben Burtt, the voice of Wall-E, joined Pixar Animation Studios as the sound designer on Disney-Pixar’s “Wall-E.” As sound designer & supervising editor of the original “Star Wars Trilogy,” he rejoined Lucas to supervise the sound work on the “Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition.” Ben won Academy Awards for his work on “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “E.T, the Extra-Terrestrial,” and “Indiana Jones the Last Crusade.”

Animator Bill Plympton on behalf of his studio, Bill Plympton Studio, which was nominated for “Hot Dog” as the best animated short subject. Bill may be best known for his 1987 Academy Award-nominated animated short, “Your Face.” Also, thank you Bill for the “Hot Dog” drawing! Watch for Bill Plympton’s new feature fill, “Idiots and Angels.”

Award-winning composer & arranger William Ross was nominated for his music in the feature animation, “The Tale of Despereaux,” a Universal Pictures production. William has composed or orchestrated music for numerous films and has arranged music for artists including Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, & Jennifer Lopez. William Ross is the recipient of 2 Emmy awards for his work as music director.
